My Evolution Jewelry™

I'm often asked about my soda can jewelry pendants I make, wear, share, and sell.

Cleverly dubbed "EVOLUTION JEWELRY" by my 10 year old son, these jewelry pieces truly evolve. Read on...

Life begins for this jewelry from a used soda pop can that would ordinarily be tossed into the trash or recycle bin. The can is thoroughly washed, cut, and hand-formed into a delicate Floral Rosette.

The focal point is fashioned from the striped UPC label of the can and finished with a glittering Swarovski crystal as the centerpiece.
The Aluminum Rosette is nestled into a flattened soda pop cap and attached to a jewelry bail fand threaded onto a chain.

Though lovely by itself, the soda cap pendant has the magical ability to become even more dramatic by blooming into a larger flower through the addition of two more petal layers.

This amazing transformation is achieved with hidden Rare-Earth neodymium magnets.

Designed with multifunction in mind, EVOLUTION JEWELRY™ pendants work beautifully as a lapel pin through concealed Rare- Earth magnets. It becomes the ideal "pinless" pin. There will never be holes left in the fabric of your garments!
EVOLUTION JEWELRY™ is completely sustainable and hand-made in the USA by Monica Marie. No two pieces are exactly alike.

  1. I've made flowers out of cans for my reclaimed barn board birdhouses. Your layered look totally takes it to another level! I'm so excited to do another with bottle caps. Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. do you cut your rosettes with craft punches? These are such a cool idea for our older VBS kids
