Last year, I created a lapel Valentine Pin out of Shrink plastic (click here to view a Shrink plastic Valentine from the Craft Junkie).
This year, since I teach a class on "HOW TO CARVE RUBBER STAMPS," I decided what better time then now to carve a heart for my sweetie and stamp a personalized card? So that's exactly what I did and I've posted it photos and a link to the template below.
For the above heart stamp, I used an inexpensive Hi-Polymer eraser purchased from the school supply section of a grocery store. They usually sell 3/$1.50.
I used a speedball carving tool with a #1 tip, available at most craft supply stores for less then $10.00 and well worth the purchase. I used colorbox-brand inks, but any brand will work fine. You could even use paint if that's all you have on hand.
This would be a great project for kids to do for Valentines to make and take to school.
